Since Serkan Kaptan was appointed as the Business Development Director of TAV Airports Holding in 2003, he has been leading the strategy, business development, airline marketing, research & development and investment activities. Kaptan is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Havas Europe (formerly known as North Hub Services), Executive Committee Member of TAV Georgia and TAV Latvia. Recently he has been appointed as Deputy CEO to TAV Airports Holding.
He graduated from Istanbul University, Department of Business Administration in 1995. Kaptan received his MBA degree from Marmara University in 2002. Before joining TAV Airports in 1998, he worked as operations supervisor and dispatcher at Birgenair Charter Group. He served as an airport operator consultant at Airport Consulting Vienna from 1998 to 2001. Having a wealth of experience in airport and airline operations, privatization and public-private partnerships and acquisitions for 19 years, Kaptan managed Iran and Georgia operations as the Country Director for several years. He has served as a Member of the Board of Directors at TAV Airports Holding, Havas, and TGS, Vice Chairman of Cyprus Airport Services and Executive Committee Member of TAV Macedonia.
He has also been the Chairman of Turkish-Latvian Business Council and a Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish-Czech Business Council in the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) since 2010.
